Congratulations to the Hyundai Genesis! This overachieving model has picked up another award. Now it is has the distinct honor of being the highest-ranked model in the midsize premium car category in the 2012 J.D. Power and Associates Vehicle Dependability Study (VDS). The J.D. Power and Associates Vehicle Dependability Study measures problems experienced during the past 12 months by original owners of three-year-old, vehicles purchased in 2009. Dependability is measured by the level of problems experienced per 100 vehicles, with a lower score corresponding to less problems and better quality.

Since the Hyundai Genesis was only launched in 2009 this was the first year it was eligible for this award and the car delivered. It was the only category award recipient in its first year of eligibility. This shows the Hyundai Genesis is a car that drivers can depend on and enjoy for many years to come. Hyundai’s goal is to design and build cars that meet and exceed consumers’ expectations not only when they are brand new and shiny right off a dealerships floor, but through its many years of service to the driver. Hyundai Genesis earned Hyundai’s first-ever top 10 finishes in the J.D. Power and Associates Vehicle Dependability Study.

The Hyundai Genesis has earned more than 20 top honors from the most well-known media outlets and automotive organizations in North America since its launch in 2009. The awards come from J.D. Power and Associates, Motor Trend, AutoPacific, Cars.com plus the very prestigious honor as the North American Car of the Year. So Kansas City Hyundai Genesis is the car for you this year and for every year you choose to keep it.
