Attention all potential car buyers, US News has announced the winners of their 2010 Best Cars for the Money awards and the Kansas City Hyundai 2010 lineup topped the list in two categories. The Hyundai Elantra won Best Compact Car for the Money and the Hyundai Genesis was rated the Best Upscale Sedan for the Money. The awards, which are based on U.S. News’ automotive rankings and estimated five-year cost of ownership from IntelliChoice, “highlight cars, trucks and SUVs that will not only please their owners the day they drive off the dealer lot, but will keep them – and their wallets – happy for years to come.”

With fluctuating gas prices and talk of global warming, it seems that everybody is going green these days, and Hyundai is no exception. So green, in fact, that one year ago they vowed to become the leading manufacturer in fuel economy, and lo and behold, Hyundai is now the most fuel-efficient automaker in America, passing traditional leaders like Honda and Toyota.
